Welcome to the Burleson Independent Soccer Association Website

Burleson Independent Soccer Association (BISA) provides recreational youth and adult soccer to Burleson and the surrounding areas. We are a member of the North Texas Soccer Association and focus on providing a safe and positive playing experience for everyone.

The games are structured to develop physical and social skills while promoting the team concept. Everyone who participates on or off the field has the opportunity to learn the game of soccer and develop new friendships along the way. Come on out and join us on the fields!

News & Announcements
Spring 2016 Late Registration
Sun, Feb 07, 2016
Spring registration for recreational players is now closed online. Adult and coach/manager registrations are still available online. Any recreational player wishing to play this season will need to email their commissioner to see if space is available on a team.

Commissioners are U4-U6 Girls Paul Grosskurth, U4-U6 Boys Jennifer Keim, U7 and above girls Ginger Mayfield and U7 and above boys Arvin Campbell. All BISA emails are the person's first name.last name@bisasoccer.com and are listed on our BISA Board page above.

U4 registration: players that will be 3 on or before December 31, 2015 are eligible for the spring season.

The age chart is incorrect for the U4 and U5 age groups. The best rule to use is take the age your child is on July 31 of this summer and add 1 to get their age group, ie a player age 4 on July 31 will be in the U5 age group this fall season.

We are pleased to announce we will be offering a sibling discount for families registering more than 1 youth player in a household again this season. You will need to have the players on a family account in the Gotsoccer system to have the option of the sibling discount using the online registration. We will also off the same discount to families at the walk up registration so you don't have to register online to receive the discount. You can create a family account by going to www.gotsoccer.com if you do not currently have one. This allows you to access all of your players using 1 login and password. Please keep in mind that all login usernames must be unique so you cannot use one of your player's current usernames for the family account or that will be the only player that you can have on that family account. Passwords can be duplicated, however.

If your player is a new player this season or if your player is returning and needs to turn in a birth certificate, those can be emailed to Julie Mason at julie.mason@bisasoccer.com or you can email Julie Mason to make arrangements to get this copy to BISA. We can only accept typed County Birth Certificates (not hand-written or hospital copies) or passports for verification of date of birth.

Coaches Meeting Spring 2016
Fri, Jan 22, 2016
BISA has changed our coaches meeting forum. We will not be having an evening coaches meeting with information and rosters. Benji Valcik, our coaching director, will be hosting a coaching practice on Sunday, February 21st at 2:00 at the BISA Soccer Complex on Dobson Street. This is mandatory for coaches that have coached less than 2 full seasons. All coaches are welcome to attend. We will be posting any information that you will need for the season on the Coaches tab of the website along with some new information and forms that you will find helpful. Please check out the updated Coaches tab.

All rosters will be emailed to the coaches from the commissioners. Practices may begin the day after rosters are emailed and only after all players on the roster have been contacted. Sometimes we do have players when phone numbers and emails are not being returned or are bad numbers. Please contact your commissioner to let them know of the problem. You can practice without contacting that player once you have informed the commissioner of the issue.

Contact Benji at benji.valcik@bisasoccer.com with any questions.

We are looking forward to a fantastic spring season starting in March. Please email myself or your player's age group commissioner with any questions. Referees Needed!!!
Mon, Jan 04, 2016
BISA is always looking for referees of all ages. This is a great way to learn more about the game of soccer, make money, and to get some good exercise. Instead of yelling at the referee, come use your voice to manage the game.

You may take a class anywhere in North Texas area. Visit the North Texas web site (www.ntxsoccer.org), click on referees and go to clinics. If you are 13 or older, take the Grade 8 and if you are 12 take the Grade 9 clinic. BISA is hosting a Grade 8 class on Feb 6th.

The class is like a foundation of the house, you will learn the basics. Then our Referee Director works with you to learn how to apply the basics to actual refereeing.

We would like to increase our numbers to be prepared for our new complex with more fields. If you need any information, please contact Ginny at ginny.ciriot@bisasoccer.com.
